WHAT IS DIABETES?
Diabetes is a disease in which little or no insulin is produced by the body. Insulin is necessary for normal body functions. It lowers and uses sugars to keep body/muscles energized throughout day with just enough. Without insulin the body can lose or have too much sugars. This can cause weakness or frailness in muscles and people who have it will need to take sugars if weak. Blood pressure should also be monitored due to higher risk of high blood pressure. Diabetes comes in 3 types: Type 1, Type 1.5, and Type 2.
